About

I’m Anya Kiseleva, a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LMHC) dedicated to helping individuals heal from complex trauma, attachment wounds, and stress-related challenges. I take an integrative approach to therapy, blending EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, Somatic therapies, Breathwork and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to create a safe space where we can go beyond symptom management into deep, lasting change.
I speak fluent Russian and welcome both English- and Russian-speaking clients. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, poly- and kink-aware, and committed to providing a non-judgmental space for all identities and relationship structures.
With degrees in Psychology (B.A., Baruch College) and Mental Health Counseling (M.S.Ed, Fordham University), I’ve worked extensively with:
  • Survivors of narcissistic abuse, attachment injury, sexual and relational trauma
  • Individuals navigating borderline personality dynamics, dissociative states and depression
  • People struggling with relational issues, codependency, or love addiction
  • High-functioning adults facing stress, anxiety, or life transitions
Outside of my practice, I am a certified life coach, NASM-certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, yoga teacher, and former IFBB Professional Athlete. I also practice freediving, which has deepened my understanding of breath, nervous system regulation, and presence, all of which I integrate into my work with clients.

A Journey Toward Wholeness

Healing is a non-linear and deeply intuitive journey. It unfolds in layers, guided by your own rhythm and readiness. This process is not about managing or eliminating symptoms, but about embracing and integrating outshadowed and disowned parts of the self that carry pain. Sometimes things may feel heavier before they lighten, and it can be necessary to fully embody and feel something before it can be released.
  1. Connection – We begin with an open and compassionate conversation to understand your history, needs, and goals.
  2. Exploration – Together, we uncover patterns, emotions, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck, and determine which approaches or modalities best support your healing.
  3. Integration – Through tailored, body-based, and trauma-informed methods, we work toward lasting healing, resilience, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

Ready to Begin Your Healing Journey?

Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or a desire for deeper self-understanding, therapy can be the bridge back to yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy is a non-linear and intuitive process that unfolds in layers, guided by your own rhythm and readiness. I use an experiential, here-and-now-oriented approach that brings attention to both the mind and body. Along with compassionate exploration of your concerns and patterns using evidence based and alternative modalities, I also focus on what happens in the moment between us, as patterns naturally show up in a therapeutic relationship.

  1. Connection  Building a sense of safety and trust as the foundation for the work.
  2. Exploration  Noticing emotions, sensations, and relational patterns as they arise in the present moment.
  3. Integration  Helping what feels disconnected come back into balance and wholeness.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a phase-oriented, experiential, and mindfulness-based approach to trauma therapy. While many people associate it with eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, that is only one small part of a broader process. EMDR includes preparation, processing, and integration, each very important and serving a distinct purpose.

We begin by building safety, stability, and confidence in managing distress. Then we move into processing unresolved memories, grief, or losses. The final phase supports integration of these experiences into a greater sense of wholeness and self-connection. The process does not always unfold in a strict sequence, it follows your natural rhythm and readiness.

No. It’s not necessary to share all the details of your traumatic experiences in EMDR or in general during the therapeutic process. Alternative modalities such as EMDR or somatic, allow trauma processing to happen without having to retell the story or re-experience the pain. The work focuses on how the body and mind hold the memory, not on the narrative itself. I honor your right to keep your story private and to share only what feels safe and necessary for your healing.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines low-dose sublingual ketamine with guided therapy to support emotional processing and integration. It may be considered for people experiencing depression, or treatment resistant depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, suicidal thoughts, OCD, or effects of long-term emotional pain that haven’t fully shifted through traditional approaches. This treatment is legal and medically supervised, provided in collaboration with experienced physicians who carefully screen each client to ensure it is clinically appropriate and safely administered.

Many people do not realize their plans often reimburse 50-80% for out-of-network therapy sessions.
